My Life being Disabled 31/03/11

Yesterday morning I found a web site called ' Fanny and Barcadi Showbar in Wakefield' which one of our skills part-owns. At 11:15 my eldest son phones me to tell me he is coming over to see me. At 11:30 a carer tells me Clarke and partners have come to mend my wheelchair but I must get of it first. I go to my room and get on my bed. My sons come and stay until lunch time. I go to the dining room and have lunch. After lunch I go back to the computer room and stay there until 14:00. I go to my room to watch television. After tea I go to my room, put my feet up and watch television. At 22:30 I ask to go to bed.
This morning I woke up at 05:45 and watch television until 08:15. I tell the carer that I'm ready for my bladder wash. After I get up, shave, shower and get dressed. I change my urine bag to 1500 ml leg bag because I'm going to Xscape to the Cineworld Cinema to see The Eagle. I go to the dining room and have my breakfast. I go to the computer room and log on at 10:00. After 15 minutes the manager comes in to have a word with me because when I was chasing my Census form I didn't ask her before I escalated to headquarters. I apologised !

Yesterday morning I logged out at 12:25 I went to the dining room and had my lunch. Skills came to ask me to give them the ticket for Bradford v Leeds because although they paid me for it they want copy it for their records. When I get to my room I give it to a carer to give it to skills. I watch television and do my exercises(x2). The physio assistant comes to take me to their room where she stretches my hand in hot water for 10 minutes. I go back to my room and read my book. After tea I watch television until 22:30 when I go to bed.
This morning I woke up at 06:00 watched television until 08:15 when I tell the carer I want to get up. I get up, clean my teeth, shave, shower and get up. We had problems with the hoist again. I went to the dining room and my breakfast. I went to the computer room and logged on 10:15.

Yesterday morning I sent an email to the lecturer from Exemplarhc to ask if she understood why I haven't got a Census form(she told us last year to ask her anything we didn't understand). After about 1 hour the assistant manager came in to ask me why I sent an email to headquarters because she'd already told me that I wasn't getting a Census form. She said she'd phoned the representative and she's going to phone back. I logged out 12:25 and went for lunch. After my lunch I told the carer that I wanted to go to Netto's, I watched television, did my exercises(x1.5) and went to Netto's. I bought 2 packets of Rich Tea, 2 packets of Gingers, 2 tubes of Pringles, deodarent and a packet of wine gums. After Netto's we went to the handymans and a carer bought some satin gloss.When I got home I couldn't go into my room because the caretaker was mending my bed. I had a cup of coffee in the dining room and the assistant manager gave me a Census form to fill in. She said fill it in before 4th April and give back to her. I told her that I will complete mine on the internet. I went to my room and watched television. I got a letter from Bradford Bulls with the tickets I'd ordered for the match at Hull. After tea I watched television until 22:45 when I told the carers I wanted to go to bed.
This morning I woke up at 05:30 and watched television until 08:15. I asked the carer to tell the nurse I was ready for my bladder wash. Afterwards I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. The fire alarm sounded and all the carers evacuated the building. After 15 minutes they came back and told me a toaster had caused this. I gave the carer the ticket for the driver to watch Hull and told her to get £22 from skills. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. Skills came to tell me they get their money this afternoon. I went to the computer room and logged on at 10:02. I completed my Census form and was given reference L-4ZLH34J.

Yesterday morning on the internet I found some more information about the 2011 Census it said residents in Care homes should get an individual form to complete. I asked the nurse where mine was and she didn't know. At 12:25 I logged out from the computer room and went for my lunch. After I went to my room, watched my television, exercised(x3) and read my book. I went for tea and skills told me we're having a quiz after. There was 30 questions and I got 19 correct. I drew for first place another team. I won the tie breaker which was a football question. I went to my room and watched television until 22:30 when I asked the carers if I could go to bed.
This morning I woke at 05:30 and watched the television until 08:15. I asked the carer if I could get up. I got up at 08:25, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I went to the dining room and told the carer I was waiting for the nurse to take my blood/sugar level, it was 6.7.I had my breakfast and after the assistant manager came in so I asked her where my individual Census form was ? She said residents don't get individual forms and she has completed the Census form for this establishment. I went to the computer room and logged at 10:01. I read the information again about the Census 2011 and this confirmed that every resident who lives in a Care home should get an individual form.

Yesterday I logged out at 12:25 and went to they dining room. I had Mulligatawny soup. I went to my room, watched television, exercised(2) and read my book. I went to dining room and had a bacon & tomato sandwich followed by ice cream. I went back to my room, put my feet up and watched television. I watched Hull KR lose to Huddersfield 16 - 38. At 22:30 I told the nurse I wanted to go to bed and she said the carers are busy so they deal with as soon as possible. By 23:15 I called again and asked the carer to empty my urine bag. She said the battery on the hoist was flat and they've put it on charge. At 23:55 they came to put me in bed. I'd changed my alarm because it's BST tomorrow.
This morning I woke up at 07:00 to watched television. I called for carers but he told me the hoist was in use in another unit. I got up at 08:35, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I asked the carers if they would change my clock to BST. I went into the dining to ask another resident he had filled in a Census form, he said no. I had my breakfast and went to the computer room. I logged on at 09:58.

Yesterday I logged out at 12:15 and asked the carer to take my computer to my room. I went to the dining room and asked her if she would go to the Fish & Chip shop and get me a Cod & Large Mushy peas. When she came back she told me it costs £3.65. I had my lunch and went to my room. I watched television, exercised(x2) and read my book. At 16:15 I went the dining room and had tea. I went to my room, put my feet up and watched the television. I watch Wigan lose to Warrington 6 - 24. At 22:45 I told the carers I wanted to go to bed.
I woke up at 06:00 and watched television until 08:15. The nurse came in to wash my bladder out. The carers came in at 08:25 and I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved showered, changed my urine bag and got dressed. I went into the dining room and had my breakfast. I went to the computer room and logged on at 10:00. I checked my bank account and found I had two withdrawals that I hadn't made. They were 'Bestvideos4you.com £0.95' and 'Filmassistancecom' £25.41. I phoned my bank and told them so they are giving a new card and pin. They are asking me to sign a statement about this which I have to return.

Yesterday logged off at 12:25 and went to the dining room for lunch. After lunch I went to my room and watched television and did my exercises(x2). Somebody from skills was coming to take me to the Therapy kitchen to cook my Chicken Jalfrezi at 14:30. I went to the toilet at 14:25 but as I was coming back the skills person and the physio assistant were looking for me. The physio assistant told me she was going to streth my right hand in hot water so the skills told me he would see me at 15:00. I had my hand stretch and went to the Therapy kitchen at 15:05. The skills wasn't there so I started preparing the ingredients. He came in at 15:30 and we made the Chicken Jalfrezi. We finished at 17:15 and while it was cooking he told me that my request to go to Shaw Cross on the 30/04/11 was O.K.. He also told me about a new hotel in Blackpool called New Mayfair Hotel which, specifically, caters for disabled people has just opened. He wanted to know whether I would be interested ? I read the leaflet and said I would. I had my tea and went to my room put my feet up and watched television. I watched Halifax lose to Featherstone 20 - 32. At 23:00 I asked the carers if I could to bed.
This morning I woke at 03:30 and watched television until 08:15. I told the carer that I was ready to get up and asked her to cut my hair. I got up at 08:35, had my hair cut, cleaned my teeth, shaved showered and got dressed. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. I went to the computer room and order 6 pairs of boxing shorts from Mark & Spencers. I tried to send a message to 'popmovz' again but it failed. I searched the web and found the home page of New Mayfair Hotel in Blackpool.

Yesterday I put my computer back into my room and went to the dining room. I had Mulligatawny soup and waited for the ambulance. It came at 12:45 but we had to pick another wheelchair user up from Barnsley. We got to The Northern General Hospital at 14:05 but the other person had an appointment at 13:45 so we took him first. I arrived at Rehabilition and Mobility unit at 14:20. As I approached the reception desk the engineer from Wheelchair Services was asking the receptionist to find out where I was. We went straight on to their room where the person who made my chair and a physio were there. I was hoisted into the new moulded chair because it was fitted to my manual chair, it seemed O.K.. I was taken to another room where the stability was checked on a ramp. It passed all the tests. We went back and the new seat was put in my electric chair. I asked the engineer ' should Clarke and Partners do a 12 monthly check ?' He said yes and told him they haven't done one. He said he will speak to them about this, about the arm rest and about the battery rack. We went back to the reception area and the receptionist phoned patient transport to tell them I was ready to go home. It was 15:10 but it wasn't until 16:15 when they came for us. They had another woman in who lived at Barnsley and we took her home first. We got home at 17:30 and I had a jacket potato with baked beans. I had ordered ice cream but the carers hadn't brought up from the kitchen. I went to mine room, put my feet up and watched television. At 22:15 I told the carers I wanted to bed.
This morning I woke up at 05:30 and watched the television until 08:15. The nurse came in to wash my bladder out. I asked her if she had found my February updates to my Care plan but she'd lost them. I got up at 08:25, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered , changed my urine bag and got dressed. I asked my carers if they would tell the caretakers that my bed was faulty. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. A carer told me she told the caretaker that my bed was faulty. I went to computer room and logged on at 09:55. I tried again if I could send a message in 'popmovz' to their support team to tell them that to delete my account but I got the same message 'The message field is required'.

Yesterday at lunch I was given Tomato soup when I asked for Mulligatawny. This happened yesterday as well. After lunch I went to my bedroom to watch the television, exercise(3) and read my book. I went to the dining room and had my tea. Afterwards I went back to my room, put my feet up and watched television. At 23:30 I told the carers that I wanted to go to bed.
This morning I woke up at 05:30 and watched the television until 08:15. I told the carer I was ready to get up. At 08:35 a carer came in and said they were having to use a hoist from another unit so it might be some time before they get it. At 08:50 I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I changed my urine bag from a syphon bag to a leg bag because I was going to see Wheelchair Services at 14:00. The letter said I must be ready at 11:00. They told me to bring my sling with me so I told the carers. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. After I went to the computer room and logged on at 09:59. I tried deleting my account with 'popmovz' again but I encountered the same problem.

Yesterday morning I tried to delete my account from popmovz.com but I couldn't. At 12.25 I logged off and went for lunch. After lunch the skills person told me we were going to Morrison's after tea. I went to my room, watched television, exercised(3) and read my book. At 16.25 I went to the dining room and had tea. At 17:15 the skills came to take me to Morrison's to buy the ingredients for my Chicken Jalfrezi which I'm going to make this Thursday. I also bought some sugar free Fishermens Friends, sugar free Polo mints, some wine gums and 4 bottles of shower gel. We got back at 18:45 I put my feet up and watched the television. I watched it until 22:30 and asked the carers if I could go to bed.
This morning I woke up at 05:30 and watched television until 08:15. The nurse came to give me a bladder wash. She told the carers that I was ready to get up. I got up at 08:35, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I went to the dining and had my breakfast. I went to computer room and logged on. I tried, again to cancel my account on popmovz.com but couldn't because when I tried to send a message to support it gave me an error message telling me that I hadn't fill the message field it ?

Yesterday lunch I had Mulligatawny soup, I went to my bedroom and watched television. At 14:55 I tuned in to Radio Yorkshire to hear Bradford beat Castleford 18 - 14. I had Oxtail soup and ice cream for tea. I went back to my bedroom and watched television until 22:00. I asked the carers if I could go to bed.
This morning I woke up at 03:30 and watched television until 08:15. I asked the carer if I get up. I got up at 08:35, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. But before I got dressed the carers weighed me I was 90.5 kgs.. I went into the dining room and asked the carer if she would tell the nurse that I was ready to have my blood/sugar level taken. The nurse took my blood/sugar level which was 7.9. I had my breakfast and went to the computer room. I logged on at 09:51.

After lunch, yesterday, I went to my bedroom,watched television and exercised(x3). I read my book but at 15:30 I went back to the computer room. I went to the dining at 16:30 for tea. After I went back to the computer room to pack up. I went to my room, put my feet up and watched Leeds lose to St Helens 16 - 30. At 21:00 I asked the carers if I could go to bed.
This morning I woke up at 06:30 and watched television until 08:15 when I told the carers I was ready to get up. They came at 08:30 but the battery on the hoist was flat. They got another one but it was also flat. They got the hoist from another unit and put me on the shower chair. I cleaned my teeth, shaved, and showered. They put me on my bed and dressed me. BUT when they tried to put me in my wheelchair the hoist didn't work again. They had to use the other hoist from the other unit again. Eventually, I went into the dining room at 09:40 and had my breakfast. I went to the computer room and signed on at 10:04.

I logged out from the computer room at 12:25 and went to the dining to have my lunch. I'd asked the carers if they would get me a Cod and mushy peas from the Fish & Chip shop on the High Street. I had my lunch and went to my room. I watched television, exercised(x3) and started reading my new book 'Sister' written by Rosamond Lupton. I went to the dining room and had my tea and went back to my room to watch the television. It was Comedy Relief tonight also I watch Huddersfield versus Wigan on Sky. Wigan won 20 - 6. I watched Comic Relief until 23:20 when I told the carers I wanted to go to bed.
This morning I woke up at 06:30 and watched the television until 08:15. I called the carer who said I was ready for my bladder wash. I had my bladder wash, got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. The carers changed my syphon bag. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. I went to the computer room and logged on at 10:10.

I logged out from the computer room at 18:10 yesterday. I went to my bedroom, put my feet up on my buffet, watched television and had a cup of coffee. I watched York lose to Sheffield on Sky. I watched television until 22:30 when I told the carers I wanted to go to bed.
I woke up at 06:10 and watched television until 08:15. I called the carers and told them I wanted to get up, turn my heating on and I wanted my hair cutting. I got up, had my hair cut, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. When I showered my shower gel run out. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. I went to the computer room and logged on at 09:58.

After I'd had my lunch I went to my bedroom. My eldest son said he would be visiting me at 13:00. He came at 13:15 and left at 14:45. Afterwards I had a cup of coffee and watched television. At 16:25 I went to the Therapy Kitchen and cooked a Pepperani Pizza. After I went to my room, put my feet up and watched television. At 22:00 I told my carers I wanted to go to bed.
This morning I woke up at 04:30 and watched the television until I called the carers at 08;15. I told her I was ready for my bladder wash. At 08:45 I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I noticed that my shower gel was running out. The carers changed my syphon bag. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. Afterwards I went to the computer room and logged on at 09:56. I read my email and I received one from Michael Dugher, my MP, about 2 articles he had recently wrote. I read them both. After lunch I did my exercises, watch television and finished my book. I had bacon, fried egg and tomatoes for tea. I went back into the computer room.

I logged out of the computer room at 19:00. I went to my room, put my feet up, watched television and had a cup of coffee. I watched television until 22:00 when I asked to go to bed.
I woke up at 07:00 and watched television until 08:15. I called the carers to get up. I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. I went to the computer room and logged on at 09:46. I got a reminder call for my appointment to Wheelchair Services on 23/03/11.

I finished in the computer room at 18:30 and went to my bedroom, put my feet up and watched television until 22:45. I asked to go to bed.
This morning I woke up at 07:00 watched television and called for a carer at 08:15. I told the carer my bladder wash is due and to tell the nurse. She gave me a bladder wash and I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I asked a carer if she would give, to skills, the Leeds ticket and tell them they owe me £18. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. After breakfast I tried to get into the computer room at 09:55 but it was in use by the physio who told us he will finish around 10:10. I went back into the dining room where the carer gave me £18 and asked me to keep the ticket for skills. I went back to the computer room at 10:14 and logged on. I had my lunch, went to my room, exercised and watch the television. As I was doing my third round of exercises the physio's assistant came and asked me if I wanted to stretch my right hand under water. I did this then I went into my room and phoned Hull FC to find out if they were selling tickets for the Bradford match on the 08/04/11. They were not so I read my book. After tea I went back into the computer room.

Yesterday I asked skills if I could go and see my eldest son playing Rugby League for Shaw Cross next Saturday. I had Mulligtawny soup for lunch. After I went to my room watched television and did my exercises(2). I listened to Huddersfield and Bradford on the radio but gave up because Huddersfield were easily winning. I had Chilli con Carne and ice cream for tea. I watched television until 22:00 then I went to bed.
This morning I woke up at 04:30 watched television until 08:15. I asked the carer if I could get up and told her that bed was faulty. I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I went into the dining room and asked the nurse to take my blood/sugar level which was 6.9.I had my breakfast and went to the computer room. I logged on at 09:40. I had my lunch,exercised(x2), watched television, read my book and went back in the computer room at 16:00. I asked a carer if she would ask skill if I could go watch Shaw Cross on Wednesday 27/04/11 at 18:00 or on Saturday 30/04/11 at 14:30. I received a letter from Bradford Bulls with the tickets for the Leeds match with one for skills £18.00. After tea I watched Being Human on BBC Iplayer.

My Life being Disabled 13/03/11

Yesterday lunchtime I had Mulligatawny soup. I went my bedroom and told my carer I wanted to go to Nettos. I watched television and did my exercises. At 14:30 I had a cup of coffee. After I told the carer that I was ready to go to Netto's. At 15:30 I decided to go to Netto's by myself. I asked the carer if she would put on my fleece and open the doors so I can go out. I set off by myself but as I was going through the car park the nurse came and told me she is going with me. I bought 3 packets of Pringles, 2 packets of Wine Gums, 1 packet of AA batteries, 1 packet of AAA batteries and some shower gel. We came home, unpacked and went to the dining room for my tea. I had pizza and ice cream. I told the carer that I wanted Mulligatawny soup for lunch and my Chilli con Carne and ice cream for tea tomorrow. I told that my Chilli con Carne is in the freezer in the Therepy kitchen. I went to my bedroom, put my feet up on my buffet and watched television. I watched Castleford beat Catalan 34 - 24. I went to bed at 22:00.
This morning I woke up at 06:45, watched television until 08:15 and called for a carer. I told him I wanted to get up and he said he would ask the carers to help. I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I went in the dining room and had my breakfast. After I went to computer room and logged on at 10:00.

Yesterday morning I couldn't print my will because the printer was connected to the PC for anybody to use and it's missing. I had fish and mushy peas from the fish & chip shop for lunch which cost £3.45. They were delicious ! I asked a carer if I could go to Nettos and she said it would be O.K.. Afterwards I went to my room watched television and did my exercises. When I had finished I said I was ready to go to Nettos but the carer said there were busy because some of the carers are training. She said I could go after the training. At 16:30 I went to the dining room and had my tea. Afterwards I went to my bedroom put my feet on my buffet and watch television. I watched Wakefield lose to Warrington 6 - 22. I went to bed at 23:25.
I woke up at 07:00 watched television and called for carer at 08:15. I told her to put my heating on and tell the nurse I was ready for my bladder wash. Two nurses came in at 08:40 because my nurse didn't know how to wash my bladder. After I called for a carer and told her that I wanted to get up. I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I told the carer I wanted to go to Nettos, again, because I have not got any shower gel. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. I went to the computer room noticing the other computer is still missing. I logged at 10:30.

Yesterday morning I continued to work on my will. At lunchtime I had Mulligatawny soup and I asked a carer who they go to the fish shop tomorrow at lunch time. I did my exercises(1) because skills told me there was a singer coming at 14:00. At 13:55 I asked the carer if I could go to see the singer but when I got there skills told me it was next week. They said they will be having bingo and a quiz in about 15 minutes. We had 5 rounds of bingo and a quiz. When it finished at 15:45 I went to my room and phoned Bradford Bulls ticket line, I noticed on the web, to buy tickets for the Leeds match on 21/04/11. I bought a disabled space for me, a carer, a driver and a parking space. At tea I had Mulligatawny soup and ice cream. I put my feet on my buffet to watch television. I watched Leigh beat Featherstone in Rugby League. I went to bed at 22:30.
I woke up at 05:30 and watched my television until 08:15. I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. I went in the computer room and logged on at 10:00. The nurse gave me a letter from the NHS about Continuing Healthcare Assessment.

Yesterday I continued writing my will. After lunch I asked a carer if I could cook a pizza tomorrow for tea but the skills said I was only use the therapy kitchen on the days that had been allocated by them. Which are 16/03/11 and 24/03/11. I did my exercises, watched television and read my book. We had sausages, egg and tomatoes for tea. After I put my legs up and watched the television. I went to bed at 22:00.
This morning I woke up at 04:20 and watched the television until 08:15. I told the carer I was ready for my bladder wash. The nurse came at 08:35 and she finished at 08:40. I got up, cleaned my teeth with a new toothbrush, shaved, showered and got dressed. I went into the dining room had my breakfast but I couldn't go into the computer room because skills(3) were using it to organise some training. They said I could use it at 10:30. I went to the computer room at 10:30.

My Life being Disabled 09/03/11

I started writing my will, yesterday morning, but I didn't finish it. At lunch because it's Pancake Day we had Corn Beef stew with a pancake ? I went to my bedroom and started my exercises and ask the carer if I could go to the Post Office to pay in a cheque. Soon my stomach felt funny. I stopped exercising and my bowels opened. After 20 minutes I called for a carer to clean me and change my pad. At 14:00 one of the physio's assistant came to strech my right arm but she said she didn't have to it was O.K. At 14:15 a carer came to take me to the Post Office. It's at the bottom of the high street and we were back at 14:45. I had a coffee and watched my television. We had pie and mushy peas followed by ice cream. I went back to my room and watched the television until 22:30 when I went to bed.
I woke up at 05:00 and watched the television until 08:15. I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. One of the skills told me I was going to the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester on 11/04/11. I went to the computer room and logged on at 09:50.

My Life being Disabled 08/03/11

Yesterday I had Mullitawny soup for lunch at 12:00 because skills were taking me to the dentist at 12:45. We got there at 13:15 and my appointment was 13:30. I knew the dentist was behind because the person with the 13:15 appointment was called for at 13:30. He finished at 13:45 and I was called into his surgery. Firstly he gave me a filling one my front tooth, without any painkiller. Second he put some yellow stuff to take an impression of mouth. After three months I will get some false teeth. I was finished at 14:15 but I wanted to go to Morrison's which is next door. We went in Morrison's and I bought a battery for my nose clipper, some Fisherman Friends and some sugar free Polo mints. I was going to buy an AA battery but I picked the wrong one up. We got home at 15:15 and I watched the television until 16:30. After tea I watched television until 23:00 and went to bed.
This morning I woke up at 05:30 and watched the television until 08:15. I called for a carere but the nurse came to wash my bladder out. I got up, cleaned my teeth, showered and got dressed. I had my breakfast and went to the computer room. I decided to investigate BT PON and whether I should get it. Also I'm going to write my will.

Yesterday lunch I had mulligatawny soup. I went to my room and did my exercises(x2). I watched the television but at 15:00 I listened to the match between Bradford and Wakefield. Bradford won 40 - 18. At 16:30 I went to the dining room to have my Chilli con Carne followed by ice cream. I went to my room and watched the television until at 21:15 I told the carers I wanted to go to bed. I watched the televion until I fell asleep.
This morning I woke up at 04:30 and watched my television until 08:15. I told the carers I wanted to get up. They got me up at 08:25, I cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I'd asked the carers to change my urine bag to a leg bag because I had an appointment at 13:30 this afternoon. I asked to be put in my manual wheelchair because it's difficult at the dentist using my electrical wheelchair. But my carer reminded me that Clarke & Parteners had taken it away for my new moulded seat. I went to the dining room and the nurse took my blood/sugar level which was 6.8. I had my breakfast and went into the computer room.

Yesterday morning my computer was going slow and I lost my google bookmarks. I had lunch and did my exercises. I watched the television all afternoon because I had recorded a lot of things to watch. I had tea and put my feet on my buffet to watch television. I watched Warrington beat Leeds 40 - 24 then I watched a film called Shutter Island. I went to bed at 22:00.
This morning I awoke at 05:00 and watched the television until 08:15. I called a carer but she didn't come until 08:30 because she said they were doing a handover. I got up at 08:45, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I went into the dining room and looked at my mobile because I heard it blip with a message when I was getting shaved. The message said I had won something on The National Lottery I couldn't wait until I logged on to the intranet. I had my breakfast and went into the computer room. I logged on to The National Lottery website and I found I had won £10. I tried to get my computer fixed and used the other computer to read my email and enter my blog. I also checked if Hull FC were selling tickets for the Bradford match on the 08/04/11 but they weren't.

Yesterday I had fish and mushy peas for lunch. I did my exercises(x2), watched television and read my book. I had two hot dogs and ice cream for tea. I put my feet on my buffet to watch television. I watched Harlequins play Huddersfield at Rugby League. Huddersfield won 10-18. I went to bed at 23:20 after Graham Norton's show.
This morning I woke up at 05:30 watched the television until 08:15. I told the carer that I was ready for my bladder wash. The nurse came in at 08:45 she said she'd forgotten. It only took 5 minutes with the new bladder wash. I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. I went to computer room and logged on at 10:15.

Yesterday afternoon I stayed in the computer room until 14:30 then I went to my room to watch television and to read my book. I asked the carer if I could go to The Museum of Science and Industry at Manchester. She said she'll put in the book for skills. I had my tea and put my legs on my buffet to watch television. I went to bed at 22:00.
This morning I woke up at 05:30 and watched the television until 08:15. I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I went to the dining room and had my breakfast. I went to the computer room and logged on at 10:00. One of our clerical staff came in and I asked her if she would email a copy of the residents meeting held last Thursday. She said she'll do it when she goes downstairs. Skills came in and told me I was book to go to Manchester.

My Life being Disabled 03/03/11

Before lunch, yesterday, I asked a carer if she would put me on the list for skills to take me to The Museum of Science and Industry at Manchester. I had Chilli con Carne and rice for lunch. I went to my bedroom and did my exercises(x2). I was coming back from the toilet and saw the Chripodist. I asked him if would cut my finger nails and toe nails. He did and charged me £8. After I had a cup of coffee the engineer from Clarke & Parteners came to mend my electric wheelchair. There were 3 faults, my control was broken, my battery compartment was broken and my armrest(right) was missing. This was the third time they have been but again he told he didn't have any spare parts. He said he had been on leave and the person who covered him was now on leave. I asked when my controller would be fixed but he didn't know if he parts department had any. He tried phoning his control and on the tenth attempt he got through. They put him threw to the parts department and they told him they had 2 spare controls. He arranged to bring it out either today or tomorrow. He checked my wheelchair and found it has never had an annual check so he plans to do it when he comes out.

At tea I had jacket potatoe and baked beans plus ice cream. I went to my room, put my feet on my buffet and watched television. I went to bed at 22:00. This morning I woke up at 05:30 watched television until 08:15. I had my bladder wash, changed syphon bag, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I had my breakfast and went to the computer room but skills were using both desks. They said they will finish at 10:45 but it was only 10:00 so I went to my room to watch the television. The nurse came to give me my pills and complained to him about skills using both the desks in the computer room. I went to the computer room at 11:00. At lunch I had pasta bolognese then I went back to the computer room.

My Life being Disabled 02/03/11

I didn't have lunch yesterday I had a bacon and tomato sandwich. I started to change my password but at 11:30 I went back to my room to put my fleece on. I went to the dining room and had a coffee. At 12:00 skills came and told me and a carer that we were setting off to The Xscape at Castleford. The traffic was light and we got there at 12:45. We looked in the shops and went upstairs to see what time the film started. It started at 13:40 so we went back downstairs and the carer wanted to see the snow slope. We went in to the viewing area but there was only a few people skiing or snow boarding. It used to be a cafe but it's now a bar. We stayed there until 13:25 and we went to the cinema. We got in at 13:35 and after all the advertisements the film started at 14:05. I had seen True Grit before with John Wayne but this version was a bit more violent with Jeff Bridges. The film lasted for 110 minutes and we came to the entrance at 16:00. Skills didn't return until 16:10 because it was busy in Pontefract. We got home at 16:40 and I had my tea.
After my tea I put my feet on my buffet and watched television until 22:00 when I went to bed. I woke up at 06:00 watched television until 08:15, got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. The carers changed my leg bag to a syphon bag. I told them I wanted to Morrison's to get a AA battery for my nose clipper, some polo mints and some Fishermen's Friends. After breakfast I went into the computer room and finished changing my passwords.

My Life being Disabled 01/03/11

Yesterday afternoon I started doing my exercises but at 14:10 the carers took me to Nettos. I bought some mouthwash, winegums and a hair trimmer, electric razor and a nose/ear/eye brows/side burn clipper. When I got home I revised my Care plan and gave it to the nurse. After tea I watched television until 23:00n when I went to bed.

This morning I woke up at 05:30nand watched the television until 08:15. I told the carer I was ready for my bladder wash. After I got up, cleaned my teeth, shaved, showered and got dressed. I changed my syphon bag to a leg bag because I was going to see True Grit at the Cinetone in The Escape in Castleford. We're setting off at 12:00 and it should finish at 16:00. Because it the first of the month I changing my passwords this morning.
